“A bit about me”

I grew up in North Yorkshire and have been lucky to live in the country all my life. With over 25 years of experience as a florist, creating Twig & Twine in 2019 was a natural progression, and I love it!

My passions for gardening, nature and sourcing vintage pieces, coupled with my floristry training and BA Hons Degree in Contemporary Applied Art, have led to my perfect working lifestyle as a self-employed florist.

I enjoy walking, beachcombing and visiting furniture auctions on a regular basis and like revamping tired pieces of furniture, often painting them in cheerful colours to use as display pieces in the shop to complement the flowers. These vintage items are often priced for sale, so keep an eye on my window displays as you may spot something you love too!

I sell flowers and plants from all around the world, grow some of my own, and also have some great local suppliers meaning I can create the natural bunches I love often including locally-grown North Yorkshire blooms.

In my spare time I enjoy maintaining my allotment, going for country and coastal walks, art and photography.
